Dismayed

From the Penarth Times, first published Thursday 16th May 2002.

I AM writing to complain about some dogs owners in Penarth who cannot keep their animal under control, even when on a lead.

On my way home from Penarth town centre on Friday, March 8, I passed a teenage boy who was out walking his dog. As I passed him to cross Archer Road, his dog leapt at me and bit my leg, ripping through my leather boot and subsequently into my leg, breaking the skin.

The youth apologised and continued his walk. As a dog owner myself, I take great care when out and am very disappointed that such an incident occurred, as it could give dog owners in Penarth a bad reputation.
